Dan Trachtenberg is not a heavyweight in Hollywood yet, he has a mysterious thriller Street Cloverfield 10 and has also collaborated on the series Black Mirror and The Boys.

Successful follow-up to Predator John McTiernan from 1987, who has long since become a textbook of spooky sci-fi thrillers, will be difficult or even impossible for Trachtenberg. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Elpidia Carrillo, Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Landham and Shane Black also helped the original film a lot.

There has been a problem with the sequels since the “two”, it never reached the magic of the 80’s gem and it made some fans very angry. Schwarzenegger probably knew why not go into those movies.

Director Stephen Hopkins tried to replicate the film’s success in 1990 by placing a similar story in the city and starring the then very popular Danny Glover, but it didn’t work out very well. In 2010, the film Predators, starring Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Braga and Walton Goggins, tried to beat the already empty straw.

The fourth part was filmed in 2018. He went to the cinemas with the subtitle Evolution, and the space hunters returned to earth stronger because they improved themselves with the DNA of other cosmic beings. The film did not arouse any enthusiasm, however, we will probably not avoid the sequel.
