Then the whole bottom and lining of the pool had to be concreted and a new concrete foundation was made there. The reconstruction has been going on since February. According to the original plans, it was supposed to end earlier, but due to the state of emergency, it was delayed by a month. Builders had to wait for the borders to reopen as part of the reconstruction material traveled from northern Italy.

“All around the pool, tiles were also repaired. You can see new benches, a sunbathing plateau and a lot of other things, such as paddles or a paddling pool to the water slide, “said Renský.

The facilities of the complex, including changing rooms and showers, have also undergone major changes. “We bought a completely new paving, sanitary ware and tiles,” he added.

The total cost of the reconstruction climbed to 30 million crowns. According to Renský, this will not be reflected in the entrance fee, at least for the time being. “We did not increase the entrance fee for this year. All-day entry costs 160 crowns. It is interesting that seniors from Prague 6, who are over 70, have free entry to the complex, “he noted.

The Petynky complex is reopened to visitors from Friday, July 17, at 7 am. However, the swimming pool warns that according to current government regulations, the operation of the area is limited and there can be a maximum of 1000 people at a time.
