The Prague Stock Exchange lost sales in the world

Global stock markets have started the new week with strong sell-offs after the spread of a new variant of coronavirus raises concerns about the strength of the economic recovery. The Prague Stock Exchange also weakened in the given sentiment and, measured by the PX index, lost -1.71% to 1,177 points. With the further decline in bond yields, the banking sector in particular failed in the Western European markets. Erste Bank thus fell by -2.55% to CZK 763 and the insurance company Vig decreased -2.27% to CZK 582. Domestic banks did not do well either, when Moneta Money Bank fell by -3.81% to CZK 83 and Komerční banka lost -2.85% to CZK 751. Cez then weakened by -1.52% to CZK 585. Of the smaller issues, the weaker Stock Spirits ended -2.89% with a valuation above CZK 77 and Kofola lost -1.78% to CZK 276.
