The Prague Stock Exchange recorded solid growth on Wednesday, when measured by the PX index, it improved by 1.73% to 1,353. Three issues, namely Čez, Erste Bank and Komerční banka, became the driving force of growth. The power plant issue strengthened by 2.90% to CZK 744 after speculation that the company will increase its full-year outlook next week in the results report. Erste Bank jumped by 3.10% to CZK 1,003, when a number of analysts raised target prices after decent results yesterday. Komerční banka then rose by 2.60% to CZK 888 in anticipation of tomorrow’s results and the CNB meeting where a sharp increase in the repo rate is expected. Other titles also reported smaller gains. Avast added 0.54% to CZK 169 and Moneta Money Bank rose 0.23% to CZK 88.
