The Prado and Amazon come together to bring live music to the museum rooms

Music and art come together at the Prado Museum with the project ‘Sound Brushstrokes‘, an initiative launched together with Amazon that will allow visitors to the museum to enjoy piano music while contemplating the works that are exhibited in the art gallery. The program of live piano will travel each month different rooms of the museum’s permanent collection and three times a dayon Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 noon, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., the young pianist Cristina Sanz Hernán will perform pieces musicals carefully selected for the occasion.

The initiative helps museum visitors enjoy a Greater experience through the musical background, and can admire the pieces of art while listening to an exhilarating piano tune performed live. This proposal joins another original proposal from the Prado Museum, under the title ‘The essence of a painting. An olfactory exhibition’, which wants to conquer visitors through the nose and which is accompanied by the work ‘El Olfato’, by Jan Brueghel the Elder and Rubens.
