The Power of Storytelling: Catholic Relief Invites 250 Beneficiaries to a Day of Creativity and Connection in Pougne-Herisson

Once upon a time there was a day at the Navel of the World… 250 beneficiaries of Catholic relief from Vienne and Deux-Sèvres were invited today to Pougne-Herisson, renowned for being a high place of storytelling. A welcome parenthesis for these families in a precarious situation.

– Are you more pan or lid? – I don’t know, a bit of both!“Coming directly from Pougne-Hérisson, this dialogue is much less absurd than it seems. with brooms as chopsticks. The worries fly away with the sounds.

A little further on, in the storytelling laboratory, young and old alike play the game… Everyone, beneficiaries or volunteers of the Secours Catholique de la Vienne and Deux-Sèvres, appreciate this moment of exchange and creativity, without limits. .

I adore ! Often what I do, I invent stories with my Playmobil, my Barbies, my cuddly toys!

It was good to create a story together. There was a unicorn angry with the king, the castle was destroyed by her!

Adults get caught up in the stories as much as children…very happy to put their imaginations to work again, to forget their problems.

It is not because we are adults that we are no longer children! Everyone is entitled to this bubble of oxygen! This is what is important to keep, even when there are difficult times.

For some, it’s an opportunity to break away from daily loneliness.

It makes for a pleasant day, it takes us out of our house. There are really a lot of things. Not everyone can afford travel. We all need it! It’s good for the head!

More than 250 people participated in this festive day, funded by the generosity of donors and grants.

A long-awaited annual meeting for those who will not be going on vacation this summer.

The Catholic relief mission is not to do instead, it is to do with! And so there, through storytelling, it’s also a way of living and taking time with people, of having a moment of life with these people.
