It was inaugurated on June 11 in the presence of the Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba.

The Bongolo – Kanda power line, intended to improve access to energy “reliable and affordable” of the populations of these localities of the province of Ngounié (South), is already operational. According to the press release from the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS), this is the first part of the rural electrification works on the Lebamba-Makongonio axis.

The objective is to increase access to electricity in isolated areas of the country, meet the growing demand for electricity in southern Gabon, reduce the use of fossil fuels (diesel, gasoline, etc.) and extend the interconnected network at the national level. Learn about Agp.

The rural electrification project on the Lebamba-Makongonio axis is financed by GPC and carried out by SETEG, two subsidiaries of FGIS. This project will make it possible to supply seven villages, in particular Kanda, Moukoundou, Mandji, Dibwangui, Bilala, Ndoubi, Makongonio and connect more than 2,000 households to the Louetsi electricity network. It should be noted that this project is part of the rural electrification of the Lebamba-Makongonio axis, aimed at strengthening access to reliable and affordable energy for Gabonese populations.
