“The consumption of power brings people together – towards the end of Denkov’s regular government, they act in a unified system – there are no political differences, and there are no interpersonal differences, which were widely exposed in the election campaign.” This was commented on “Speak Now” on BNT by the former Speaker of the Parliament and Minister of the Interior, Mihail Mikov.
According to him, the acceptance of the coalition can be explained by voter apathy. He thinks that it will make itself known in the European elections this year. “Public energy is at a low level and there is no political irritant, idea or formation to emerge as an alternative to today’s status quo.”
Mihail Mikov defined as cynical the selection of the new constitutional judges after the adoption of the amendments to the basic law. “This step is taken after the mandate has not been filled for two years. The decision by which they are elected for a 9-year mandate, after it is clear that this is a question of another interpretation of the Constitution, all this is arrogant, vulgar and impudent . It does the bar guild credit for saying what it thinks.”
The rulers will also agree on the other regulators, commented Mikov and asked if democracy can function normally when the so-called independent regulators are filled within this type of political configuration. It set as a precedent the fact that the opposition is increasingly excluded from the work of the parliament, from the leadership of the committees.
“Now it is being done because of “Revival”, but it affects all opposition parties. The opposition understands that even if there is a reaction in this time of consolidation of the government, it will not be heard very much. Today it is this opposition, only that the practices of the ruling majority can please someone else tomorrow. There are also dividing lines in the opposition, because everyone is fighting for their own identification and influence, also commented Mikhail Mikov. “The BSP is degrading and cannot represent the interests of left-wing Bulgaria, increasingly it is difficult to find a way to raise the questions that concern ordinary people in Bulgaria,” the former chairman of the left believes.
