Until recently, Kryštof was convinced that there was no point in sticking to his relationship with Karla, and he dreamed of a future with Monika Farská. However, she made it clear to him that she did not plan a life together with him and that he should return to his wife and family as soon as possible. Subsequently, Karla and Kryštof became closer thanks to a broken gearbox, which reminded them of a long-ago romantic date in the middle of abandoned forests. They had a lovely Christmas, during which they indulged in another steamy scene, and now it looks like they’re entering the new year with a resolution to get back together. Under the pretext of lost keys, Kryštof sleeps with Karla, even right in the bedroom and in the double bed. Little Vojta and grandmother Věrka, who always hoped that there would be no divorce between them, are happy about this.

Now that things are finally starting to develop promisingly, Monika suddenly returns to the plot as a somewhat persistent friend who uses Kryštof for various purposes, e.g. to pick her up at the station or to help her with a work presentation. However, the question is whether occasional friendly meetings are really enough for Monica. Was her relationship with Kryštof really as casual as she claimed all along? Or will she realize that she feels something more for him? Will she return to Africa, as she had originally planned, or will she still mix up the cards with the Marečkovys?

On the other hand, we now have a topic with an unexpected child on the way with the Klím family, so it does not seem likely that the creators would try something similar in another family, although with Vítek and Ivy it is of course something a little different – pregnancy at a later age and not completely ideal conditions. But it would certainly be a mistake to think that there is nothing interesting about Monika anymore. Let us be surprised.
