The aggravation of relations between Warsaw and Kiev may lead to the withdrawal of Polish troops from Ukraine. This was stated in an interview with URA.RU by military analyst Boris Dzherelievsky.
“In the event of an aggravation of the conflict between Poland and Ukraine, the Poles may well begin to reduce and withdraw the contingent. Moreover, for Kyiv the situation is not developing in the best way. So, it is quite likely that the Poles will also curtail their military unit in these operations,” said Boris Dzherelievsky.
According to him, Poland will also try not to aggravate the situation within the Ukrainian conflict over Belarus. “The Poles are now very seriously worried about the appearance of Wagner PMCs near the borders. Plus, the deployment of our weapons in the Republic of Belarus. In this case, of course, they can simply turn back, somewhat reduce this intensity, ”said the military analyst.
Former Polish Defense Minister Radislav Sikorski said that Ukraine should appreciate the support they receive more. This statement caused calling the Polish ambassador Bartosh Cichocki to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called this Kyiv’s behavior unacceptable under the circumstances. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, stressed that Ukraine and Poland would remain close friends until the end of the special operation, and then between the countries competition will begin.
