FC Lorient announced last week the arrival of Adil Aouchiche to complete his quality recruitment. A look at the career of the young attacking midfielder in a few dates.

Adil Aouchiche was born on July 15, 2002 in Blanc-Mesnil in the Seine-Saint Denis. A football fan, he started playing for Mitry-Mory before moving to Trembley FC. His impressive technical qualities allowed him to join the training center of the Paris Saint Germain where it evolved under the orders of Thiago Motta. While the youngster occupied the position of midfielder, the Italian tactician decided to reposition him as an attacking midfielder, a role that fits perfectly with his vision of the game.

The Parisian titi made his professional debut on 30 August 2019 in a Ligue 1 match against FC Metz. At 17 years and 46 days, he has thus become the youngest PSG player to make his first division debut (a record now held by Warren Zaire-Emery). Although Adil Aouchiche played a minor role in winning the trophies, he won the French champion title, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue at the end of the season.

After a win against the Netherlands on 17 November 2019, the French team finished thirdAnd of the U17 World Cup. The 1’81 right lit the competition with his talent by scoring a goal and providing seven assists over seven games. An exceptional performance that logically allowed him to be named in the standard team of the tournament.

Adil Aouchiche signed his first professional contract on 20 July 2020 with AS Saint-Etienne. During his first season, the attacking midfielder occupied an important place in the Greens system by participating in 34 Ligue 1 games and distributing his team’s game.

After a catastrophic season, AXIS returned to Auxerre on 29 May 2022 as part of the Ligue 1 play-offs. Adil Aouchiche and his teammates lost on penalties to the Burgundians. A defeat synonymous with relegation in Ligue 2 for the Forez club. From a personal point of view, the Blanc-Mesnil native had to face a more difficult year, often acting as a substitute and less decisive.

Saint-Etienne decided to separate from their player who had too high a salary for a second division club. FC Lorient therefore jumped at the opportunity by signing the 20-year-old attacking midfielder for free. He will wear the Merlus shirt for the next four seasons and may soon join the eleven of Régis Le Bris to relaunch his career.
