The Port of Baiona has participated in the XI Congress “The Future of Cereal” in the town of Magaz de Pisuerga, Palencia, where it has promoted the next edition of the Agri Vrac fair, which will take place in Anglet, next to the Basque-French port, on Thursday 17 October.
BILBAO. The representative of the Port of Baiona, Joxan Madinabeitia, has also had the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in fertilisation, plant health, seeds, alternative crops, genetic editing and updated data on the evolution of the raw materials market.
The technical programme was complemented by networking to foster business relations and the exchange of knowledge.
The conference, held last Wednesday in Magaz de Pisuerga, analysed the key points of the new 2024/2025 campaign thanks to the participation of companies and experts with proven experience in the sector. The opening speech was given by Ramón Armengol, a leading figure in agricultural cooperativism in Spain, who has recently been awarded the Civil Order of Agricultural Merit by the MAPA.
More than 300 professionals from the entire cereal value chain travelled to the town of Palencia to share their ideas and reflections on the future of this strategic sector for agriculture and livestock.
