The Syys experience event of the Xperience United community was organized in Himos over the weekend. The community of “sexually liberal adults” gathered at Himos Areena, where the official program of the event closed to outsiders was organized. Iltalehti visited the place to see what it was all about.

On a Saturday afternoon, the October resort doesn’t really look like an Eden of lust. It is raining, and the temperature is not more than a few degrees.

The surroundings of Himos Areena are still deserted at noon. Only the printouts attached to the door tell about the event organized in the arena.

Little by little, however, the arena’s parking lot is starting to fill up, and people are walking from nearby cabins towards the venue.

The crowd is diverse in appearance: one is wearing a hoodie and jeans, the other is dressed in fishnet tights and black leather. Visually, the age range of the participants is from their early twenties to middle-aged.

The couple, who have been attending community events for about a year and a half, describe the atmosphere of the event as expansive.

– At the beginning, of course, I was nervous to leave, but the first feeling was that it was somehow normal and safe. If you go to a normal party at a bar, getting close or uncomfortable situations are common. It’s safe to be here again, the man says.

– Yeah. No one has ever touched or caressed without permission, the woman adds.

According to the couple, the people who attend community events are diverse in their background and nature.

– Here are all the same ethnic groups as in society anyway. There are highly educated and successful people, and then there are those in very basic professions. All sizes and living everywhere, the woman says.

– I thought that, if anywhere, then here I would feel shame about my appearance or some sexual repertoire. However, it has been quite the opposite, the man adds.

The couple says that sexuality is now also present at Himos, but community and seeing friends are essential reasons for going to events. Gatherings are also a good way to meet like-minded people and put a face to a familiar name.

– We didn’t come here with the intention of getting into orgies. We must be having sex with each other, the man says.

– If you came here with the idea that you had to have sex, then there are probably opportunities for that here.

Big names

During the weekend, Himos has had a varied program. The official part is organized at Himos Areena, where you can also enjoy live music. On Friday, the arena performed The boy is taking a sauna – known for his hits The majorityand it was Saturday’s turn Abreu. The artists themselves have not reported on social media about their gigs in Himos at the Syys experience event.

In addition to the official program, community members organize other activities in their own cabins. The participants have been able to visit, for example, a sex costume flea market, a candy twister and erotic bingo.

Having sex also takes place under the shelter of the log walls of the cabins. Nothing is necessarily agreed in advance, but we go to the cabins first and foremost to spend time together. Sometimes the night leads to sex, sometimes it doesn’t.

“You can be yourself”

In general, the interviewees are silent about sex and specifically emphasize the community aspect of the event.

– This is a community where people can be themselves, one interviewee says.

The arena’s parking lot is already mostly empty after the end of the day’s program, but he has still stayed outside to chat with his friends. Sometimes a familiar face walks by and he says hello.

According to the interviewee, couple exchange is only a marginal part of the event. Above all, Himos has come to meet acquaintances with similar interests. You can talk openly with them about topics that are not necessarily appropriate to talk about in other social circles.

– The best thing here are the people, he says.

– The group dances, chats and gets to know people there. In the arena, it’s a normal bar night in practice, nothing more. The group might dare to dress more daringly when they know that no one will panic or do anything wrong.

The interviewee says that he was in a monogamous relationship for 15 years, after which he and his partner decided to start a relationship. According to him, it has promoted the functionality of the relationship.

– There was no going back.

Porn star on the loose

An adult entertainment actor has also come to spend the weekend Mr. Lotharproperly named Anssi Viskari. He says that he arrived there only on Friday after work.

– I don’t care now. Hobby or not – it does not affect the ignition system of the moped in any way. I came now to spend a free weekend with friends.

– It can even happen that there will be a bit of amateur sex with some girls.
