Great news for combat sports fans. The GCF organization, which was the first ever MMA organization in the Czech Republic, is apparently gaining strength again. Now he has a new co-owner and you can’t be afraid that he won’t know how to sell his new project. He also sent a message to the Czech Terminator for this purpose.
Our biggest stars have passed the GCF
To many fans, the term GCF may not mean anything, as only the Octagon really popularized MMA in our region, but know that this is the first MMA organization that worked here.
Gladiator Championship Fighting, as the full name of the organization sounds, has dozens of tournaments behind it. Even our biggest stars worked in the organization. It is worth mentioning, for example, Jiří Procházka, the current UFC champion, or the star of the Octagon and the first Czech in the UFC, Karlos Vémola.
In recent years, this famous brand has unfortunately gone into the background. But that will probably change, even if the new co-owner has no ambition to become number one on the market.
GCF is now co-owned by a popular YouTuber, the announcement shows the potential
The new co-owner of the organization became Vladimír Kadlec, whom many may know under the name VladaVideos, which is how he presents himself on the YouTube platform. The latter was supposed to have a match under the banner of the Octagon, which tried the YouTubers’ War project, but it did not come to a successful end.
However, Kadlec did not resent MMA. On the contrary. He announced that he was planning a big thing. However, few expected that he would participate in the functioning of the GCF. And because he is popular with people and knows how to get them on his side, his involvement with the organization has great potential.
After all, this was already evident in the announcement video that Kadlec published on his YouTube channel. With a cardboard dummy of Ondřej Novotný, the boss of Oktagon, he declared that there is no longer just one promoter on our MMA scene, but two.
However, as already mentioned above, the GCF does not aim to compete with the Octagon, but to act as an intermediate step for amateur fighters who are starting a professional career and want to get into their dream organization. But Kadlec wants to be the best possible promoter and wants his organization to be among the best on our scene.
Will Vémola lose the title?
The popular YouTuber also took a dig at Karlos Vémola, who became the GCF champion in 2013. On the one hand, he indicated that he would find a place for him in the organization after his career. But that’s not all.
“Karl, I found out one more thing. That you are the rightful champion in this organization. So now I’ll tell you the news. No longer. And you know why? Because I can. So you throw the belt you have at home nicely back in the chancel so I have something to look at. Because why? Because I can,” Kadlec let himself be heard.
