It was during Tuesday’s Xbox Games Showcase Extended broadcast that Microsoft and developer Iron Gate confirmed the launch plans. Valheim will make the trip to Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S in early 2023, and the game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
In addition, it will be out on PC Game Pass already this autumn. Iron Gate promises full support for cross-platform gaming, whether you play via Steam, the Microsoft Store or the Xbox.
In Valheim, players work together to get through a hectic everyday life as a Viking. The game borrows many of the classic elements from the survival genre, however as our writer concluded in his sneak peek makes Valheim enough to stand out from the crowd.
– After just over four hours behind the levers, the game has still benefited from falling into the leisurely and a bit boring troll I feel many other survival games often do.
