The director of the Vatican press office, Mateo Bruni, informs that on the afternoon of Saturday 19 November the Pope will arrive in the city of Asti, in Piedmont, in northern Italy, to participate in the celebration of the 90th anniversary of his cousin’s birthday. It will be a private meeting. On November 20, the feast of Christ the King, Francis will instead celebrate Holy Mass in the cathedral of Asti and meet the faithful of the congregation. The return to the Vatican is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. “We were very happy with this news”, says Bishop Marco Pastaro, Bishop of the Diocese of Asti. – “We will do everything possible to make Pope Francis feel at home here”.
