(ANSA) – VATICAN CITY, JUNE 20 – “Religion and science could be united in charity, if science is put on the service of the women and men of our time, and never distorted to their detriment and even to their destruction” . The Pope mentioned this within the viewers with the scientists of the Vatican Observatory. For the Pontiff, “science and religion observe two totally different and parallel paths, between which there is no such thing as a battle. Certainly, these paths can harmonize one another, as a result of each science and religion, for a believer, have the identical matrix in Absolute fact of God”. Remembering Father George Lemaître, the Jesuit of the ‘massive bang’ principle, Pope Francis added: “His journey of religion leads him to the attention that creation and large bang are two distinct realities, and that the God he believes in can’t be an object simply categorizable by human cause, however it’s the ‘hidden God’, who at all times stays in a dimension of thriller, not completely understandable”.
