For her part, Ibeth Hernández, director of the Bolívar Sectional Prosecutor’s Office, pointed out that the raid in Manga was carried out on Friday and that it is part of a corruption investigation against the voter. In the raid they did not seize money in cash, but the money is part of one of the lines of inquiry, since it refers to various sums.
“On Friday the raid was carried out and yesterday – Saturday – the 18th Municipal Criminal Court Judge gave legality to the proceedings, in which evidence was found that was collected by the Prosecutor’s Office,” said Hernández.

In a Facebook Live, Mayor William Dau pointed out that the Prosecutor’s Office carried out several raids, indicating that one of these had been carried out against a representative to the Chamber for Bolívar, although he did not give the name.

Although he did not give details of who the operation was carried out in Cartagena, explaining that this is part of the procedural reserve, in the city they comment that the raid was carried out under the command of a representative to the Chamber for Bolívar. In fact, this was mentioned by Mayor William Dau in a Facebook Live. It was known that it is Alonso Del Río, although this has not been confirmed by the authorities. El Universal tried to contact the turbaquero congressman to find out if this is true or false, but it was not possible.
Hernández also explained why the Prosecutor’s Office in Bolívar is at the forefront of the investigation in Sucre, hinting that when they made the inquiries in Cartagena they ended up discovering what was being hatched in Sucre.

“The raids are comprehensive, I cannot separate one from the other. This follows – the raid in Sucre – from our line of investigation. The fight against corruption is frontal and many times when a sectional prosecutor within the handling of investigation techniques finds that within his portfolio criminal behaviors are dynamic, then the Bolívar prosecutor remains competent, ”he said.
Regarding what Mayor Dau pointed out on Live, in which he said that it was suspicious that the Prosecutor’s Office did not immediately report the raids, Hernández responded: “First I have to say that a prosecutor is autonomous and independent according to the Constitution and the Law. By saying that the procedures were endorsed by a Judge of Guarantees, we are clear that said procedures are framed in the law. It must be emphasized that criminal activity enjoys legal reserve.
