Resilience. Prime Minister Jean Castex presented the government’s “resilience” plan at 4 p.m. to help businesses and the population cope with the economic and social consequences of the war in Ukraine.
Corsica. Against a background of violence and tension on the island, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, arrived in Corsica to “open a cycle of discussions” with the elected officials, two weeks after the aggression of Yvan Colonna, which revived the anger of the nationalists. In an interview with Corse-Matinhe calls for a return to order and affirms: “We are ready to go as far as autonomy” for the island.
Tours of France. The candidate of the Les Républicains party, Valérie Pécresse, was traveling to Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) at the start of the afternoon, alongside the mayor of the city, Jean-François Copé.
