The policeman who lent the motorcycle to Diana Sosoacă was fired. The head of SOS Romania announces that she is leaving him as a member of parliament

Policeman Valer Kovacs, the man who lent Diana Şoşoacă the motorcycle and the police helmet, was dismissed, tells News.ro. After this news, Diana Soșoacă said that she will promote the policeman Valer Kovacs to the list of parliamentarians.

“He offended in some professional sectors as a whole (judges, etc.), he expressed opinions that were against the interests or political preferences of Romania, he violated the obligation to respect the confidentiality of the data a was received through the service, distributed materials that provoked disorder, disrespectful to colleagues. or other people and did not ensure that the information was correct from the citizens. The disciplinary measure was taken in accordance with the legal provisions, after going through all the procedural steps, according to the recommendation of the Disciplinary Council, which was established at the level of the institution”, the MAI relayed.

According to the Preliminary Investigation Report, in fact, during the preliminary investigation, it was noted that between June 2022 and March 2024, that person spread in the public space, using several accounts on different platforms social media, but also by participating. in the framework of some TV shows, there was audio-video content, which, through the message and the statements made, criminalized certain professional categories as a whole (threats, etc.) ), expressed opinions that were against the interests or political preferences of Romania, which violated the obligation. to respect the confidentiality of the data obtained through the service, distributed materials that provoked disorder, disrespected colleagues or other people and did not ensure that the information the right of the citizens, said the MAI.

Before this measure, the police officer was allowed again and again, without regret for committed actions or respect for the status of a police officer, the MAI says, and can challenge the administrative act, according to the legal provisions.

“I am accused of having harmed the honor of the institution I belong to”, said Valer Kovacs in a conversation with AUR director George Simion, posted on Facebook. He says he is ashamed to take a picture with MEP Cristian Terheş, saying that the file related to him offering the motorcycle to Diana Şoşoacă is a different file.

Kovacs also says that he is the one who imposed the most sanctions on road administrators on the highway department.

“How could I remake myself? Or what could I do? Shall I take a taxi?”, he asks himself.

In addition to George Simion, MEP Cristian Terheş also intervened in his defense, who argued that the real reason for the impeachment was that Valer Kovacs fined CNAIR several times, for not properly protecting the road, something that – would have displeased the Minister of Transport Sorin Grindeanu.

Diana Sosoacă’s comment

Diana Șoșoacă responded after the dismissal of the policeman Valer Kovacs and says that he will be the candidate of SOS Romania Party for the Parliament.

“Valer Kovacs was punished for fining CNAIR, which puts drivers at risk through faulty road maintenance, as well as the criticism he brought to the MAI, which is no longer at the service of the Romanian people , but about political and criminal networks.

I offered Valer Kovacs the opportunity two years ago to be hired as my advisor in the Senate, and later this year, I told him very clearly that if the MAI fires him, I will hire I am an MEP assistant and that it will be the SOS Romania. The party’s candidate for Parliament, and if SOS Romania reaches the government, Valer Kovacs is the party’s recommendation for the position of Minister of the Interior. The mentioned offer remains open to Valer Kovacs because this valuable person must continue his work in the service of Romanian citizens,” said Diana Șoșoacă.

At the end of May, the police were subject to a disciplinary investigation after che lent his work bike to Diana Sosoacă, but also the police helmet and took a picture next to it. The Romanian Police then announced that they had started investigations, after Diana Şoşoacă posted a clip on social networks in which she can be seen on a police motorcycle, wearing a police helmet. Also, the senator took a picture with the police officer, dressed in uniform, and the investigations focused on a possible violation of the Police Statute.

At that time, Kovacs asked his friends to support him and send messages to the e-mail addresses of the Ministry of the Interior and the Government of Romania.

“I don’t do politics of any color,” he said, although he posted messages on social networks similar to those promoted by Diana Şoşoacă and appeared on Zeus TV, together with Luis Lazarus, a close friend of his Diana Şoşoacă.
