The National Police, through the Citizen Participation Delegation of the Vigo-Redondela Police Station, is currently patrolling the Camino de Santiago that runs through the section from Vigo to Redondela, protecting the pilgrims who pass through our town, within the device “We protect the Way: Jubilee Year 2021 – 2022”.
In the development of its activity, one of its missions is to guarantee the protection and safety of the people who travel along the Camino de Santiago on their pilgrimage, making it a safe place, and to inform about prevention and safety advice and spread among the pilgrims and pilgrims the campaign “YOU DO NOT WALK ALONE ”: CAMINO DE SANTIAGO FREE OF MACHIST VIOLENCE.
This campaign, designed by the Coordination Units against Violence against Women of the Government Delegations of Galicia, Aragon, Navarra, La Rioja and Castilla y León, is aimed at pilgrims to make them aware of the resources specifically made available to women in order to prevent any kind of violence.
