The police were attacked by several dozen individuals during an arrest in Creil (Oise), in the Hauts-de-Creil district this Tuesday evening around 6:45 p.m. A total of three men were arrested and taken into custody.

It all started with the arrest of a motorist who was driving without a license. During his arrest, the man rebelled, causing a large crowd. A police source mentions the presence of 200 individuals around the police, in the sector of rue Henri-Dunant. Police reinforcements quickly arrived and the officials were the target of numerous projectiles. The latter used seven tear gas canisters to push back the attackers, and made use of their defense ball launcher (LBD) several times. A suspect, accused of throwing projectiles at the police, was then arrested.

Reinforcements from the CRS 8, which specializes in urban violence, have been requested. 65 police officers from this unit arrived on the spot shortly before 9 p.m. Calm has returned and a second individual, accused of having participated in the attack on the police, has been arrested. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the police station of the commune.

They try to steal a motorcycle from a trailer

Sunday evening around 7 p.m., three individuals dressed in black tried to steal the motorcycle transported by a motorist which was installed on its trailer. The facts took place rue Édouard-Branly, in Creil. The thieves notably tried to unhook the trailer, in vain. One of the criminals visibly taps on the motorist’s window before the latter restarts.

The video of a witness was posted on Snapchat. Unbelievable pictures. There would be no link between this attempted theft and this urban violence.
