The police struggled to stop a gigantic party in Lofoten

At four in the morning on Thursday, the police went to an unorganized outdoor party. There was a lot of noise, and permanent residents have no opportunity to sleep. Closer to five o’clock, over a hundred people at the outdoor party still hadn’t given up.

– When a hundred people gather who have consumed alcohol and play loud music, there is a lot of noise for the permanent residents, operations manager Ivar Bo Nilsson told TV 2.

After trying in vain to calm down the party, the patrol that arrived at four o’clock called another police patrol from Leknes to assist.

Closer to five o’clock, the patrol is still 20 minutes away, and the patrol on the spot had not yet succeeded in reaching the revelers.

– We had hoped that this would resolve itself now that it is close to five o’clock. Isn’t it nice weather for once. It’s wet, said Nilsson.

There are a lot of tourists, and the operations manager put the unorganized party in connection with the Timber Festival which took place nearby from 1 to 3 August.

Operations manager said no misconduct has been reported. Only loud noise, alcohol and loud music.

– The patrol on the spot says there is a good atmosphere, he said.

At 6 o’clock the police were able to state that the party participants had gone their separate ways.
