All possibilities are being investigated regarding the two burnt bodies found in a burnt out car on a dirt side road between Kellaki and Pareklisia, Limassol Police Director Andreas Angelidis said.
In his statements on the scene, Mr. Angelidis said that “ten minutes after midnight, the Police were informed that there was a fire in a certain car in the area here. The Fire Service immediately visited the place to put the fire out and the police were also contacted and members of the TAE and ADE Limassol visited the scene”.
“From the first tests, it was confirmed that there were two burnt bodies inside the particular car, which is a spit, and immediately the investigation started by TAE regarding the circumstances of the incident,” he said.
Mr. Angelidis noted that the tests are in the first stage and that the research team that has been established is evaluating all the data and information to clarify the issue, “with priority to identify, in the first level, are we talking about a crime or another incident.”
“On our part, all possibilities are being considered,” he said and added that all police stations have been contacted in case there is a complaint of missing persons after the publish an event.
An autopsy was performed by the medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous, while the investigations at the site and in the surrounding area continue.
