Case of death a family died “drained” in Kalideres, West Jakarta, has attracted attention. Various speculations have also emerged as to what caused a family not to eat and drink for quite a long time.
UI criminologist Adrianus Meliala reveals his analysis of alleged Kalideres family members apocalyptic sect. He suspects that the victim not getting food for some time is one of the cult’s rituals.
“Now what I want to see is whether this is indeed an attempt by the perpetrators of the murder. Like to make other people unsuspecting or is it part of a ritual, part of a full ritual for people who have a way of think that he has a rather extreme conviction,” Adrianus told reporters on Tuesday (15/11/2022).
Adrianus said that numerous similar cases have been seen in different countries. The case has a red thread and is linked to an apocalyptic cult.
“In some media I say how has apocalyptic tendencies, I want to die, I want to leave the world soon, I want to come soon or reach the world of nirvana. That’s pretty much what they might experience,” she said.
Police response
Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan spoke about the analysis. Zulpan said her party has not reached the final stage of the cause of death for the victim’s family.
“We have some evidence at the TKP, clues and so on. But we can’t really convey it in detail because it still takes time. But you can tell this doesn’t lead to starvation,” Zulpan said.
Zulpan asked the public to be patient regarding the lawsuits deaths in the family are “dry” the. He said the investigation was still ongoing.
“I can’t tell before (presumably joining a cult) because it leads to a conclusion, so I can’t tell yet. While the team is still working. We will broadcast it to the public in full scientific research what is the cause of death What is certain is not for hunger. But the reason is whether they join a certain sect or there are other things that are still being investigated,” Zulpan concluded.
