Drivers could meet police officers at three checkpoints. One was on the D1 motorway at 4.5. kilometer in the direction of Prague and two more on the Prague ring road in front of the Cholupický tunnel.

Police officers and customs officers stopped mainly trucks, but also buses and cars. Vehicle scanners and heartbeat detectors were available.

In total, they checked three thousand cars and 400 people. One driver was banned from driving.

Police have imposed almost twenty fines totaling approximately 30,000 crowns for various illegal acts, especially in connection with traffic violations, and three other offenses have been reported to the administrative body for discussion,” said police spokesman Richard Hrdina.

Police officers imposed bails in the total amount of 81 thousand crowns on seven drivers.

Two persons who did not have a valid residence permit in the Czech Republic were also detained. The police were not more specific, but for example, construction workers and the like have a residence permit. It could have happened that their permit had expired.

Customs officers and police were looking for migrants.
