A large-scale police operation was carried out in Germany against a group accused of trading in fake Bulgarian identity cards and foreign driver’s licenses. The documents were prepared to order in Bulgaria“Deutsche Welle” reported.

In Germany, a large-scale police operation was carried out on Tuesday on suspicion of large-scale forgery of documents, Saarland police said. Numerous sites were searched – mostly in the Saarbrücken and Völklingen area. It is alleged that the defendants prepared the documents to order in Bulgaria and also acted as conduits.

About 100 law enforcement officers participated in the police action. In Saarland alone, 18 sites were searched.
