The Ministry of the Interior searches the offices of Veliko Zelev in Sofia. The businessman was detained and is at the scene of the searches.

Zhelev is the former head of API and the current owner of “Hidrostroy” JSC.
According to a source from one of Veliko Zhelev’s companies, the case began two weeks ago, when a senior employee of the company – director of Construction – was fired. His removal was necessary because subcontractors filed reports of incorrectly issued invoices and there are suspicions that the director diverted funds for his own companies. Then he was fired, apparently as a precaution, he filed a report with the police that he was forced by the owner of the company, Veliko Zhelev, to commit violations of the law.
