The police arrested her and tortured her to death. Demonstrations explode in Tehran

After staying for days in a hospital in Tehran, after falling into a coma due to the aggression of the Iranian security forces, she announced the young woman’s family. wsa amini Iranian death

The bereaved family confirmed Friday that they will not give up the rights of their deceased 22-year-old daughter, noting that they will take all legal steps to punish those responsible for her murder.

They violently attacked her

The tragedy is due to an attack carried out by the “moral” police in the capital, Tehran, on the deceased young woman under the pretext of wearing an “inappropriate veil”, and to her arrest.

She was subjected to violence while in police custody, which necessitated her transfer to hospital in critical condition, while authorities said she suffered a heart attack, showing scenes of her sudden collapse.

But her family confirmed her death after suffering severe brain damage following severe beatings in a detention center in the Iranian capital.

The 20-year-old woman, whose full name is Gina (Mahsa) Amini, came from the city of Saqqaz in Iranian Kurdistan to Tehran with her family to visit her relatives.

However, last Tuesday evening, Amini was arrested near the “Shahid Haqqani” subway station by “Al-Irshad” patrol officers when she was accompanied by her brother.

Police claim!

His brother explained that the guidance police had told him that his sister had been transferred to the “moral security” department, indicating that they would release her after a “moral guidance” session lasting about an hour.

For her part, the journalist Sajjad Khoda Karmi revealed in an interview with “Iran International” that one of the detainees who was with her in the patrol car confirmed that “she was attacked and her condition was very bad”.

While several Iranian opponents and activists accused the prison officials of ignoring the young woman’s situation, the protest of the other detainees forced them to transfer her to the “Kosra” hospital.

Demonstrations of condemnation

As news of Mahsa spread, a number of angry citizens rushed to the hospital, chanting slogans against the authorities, but the security forces tried to push them back. They were beaten during an arrest campaign.

It is interesting to note that many women’s campaigns have been organized in Iran in recent years against the imposition of the mandatory headscarf and the way women dress.

However, the authorities have repeatedly cracked down on these campaigns against the country’s strict laws and arrested dozens of women and activists for years.

But this latest campaign of anger comes after Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi signed a decree on August 16 (2022) that enforces a strict dress code for women and provides tougher penalties for anyone who breaks the law, both publicly and publicly. on the Internet.

This decree came after dozens of women were arrested across the country on July 12 following the announcement of the national “day of the veil and chastity”, including the writer and artist “Sibideh Rachno”, who she had also previously been subjected to political arrest, beatings and torture in detention before she forcibly apologized for the TV screen!
