– Erna and the police have not called

– The phones here have not been quiet since Erna’s apology for infection control breaches became known on Friday night. Most of the calls have been from the media, but also from people who are concerned about how the Solberg family celebrated the following evening in the apartments they rented here in Geilo. At least we can not answer that, says Frode Aga (65) to Dagbladet.

And adds after our question:

The famous TV chef from the NRK series Kokkekamp and other programs from 1998 onwards, has run Hallingstuene for 32 years together with his wife Berit. Before that, he was, among other things, head chef at Engebret Cafe in Oslo.

Dagbladet visited the corona-closed Hallingstuene at the restaurant couple Kongsvik / Aga on Friday, to check the consequences of all nightlife being closed in the Easter paradise Geilo until 12 April.

And this is how the 60th anniversary came about:

– Our restaurant manager received an email from the Prime Minister’s husband Sindre Finnes a few days in advance that he would like to book a place for 14.

– He called and talked to the restaurant manager a few hours before they were to arrive. They were only 13, Erna herself could not come anyway.

– Are there any rules that give restaurants responsibility for rejecting orders for more than 10 people?

– These were the same recommendations for roofing collections in own homes. We would like to facilitate the guests at the same time as we have been consistent in terms of infection control throughout this period, says Frode Aga.

And explains the table setting:

– There were three tables with more than two meters distance. And the guests were divided into three so-called cohorts with 5 + 4 + 4 guests at each of the tables. The man and the two children sat together, as did Erna’s sister and family. I do not remember on the fly who was placed on the third table. Our waiters wore face masks, and the guests at the birthday party used face masks as they walked through the other departments here to get to the restroom.
