– We make continuous evaluations of the different information we receive, says the police lawyer Andreas Kruszewski.
Legal aid lawyer Mette Yvonne Larsen confirms to Aftenposten that new violations of the restraining order against an ex-boyfriend are being investigated. Larsen represents the woman, who is a disgraced person after the violent incident at Frogner in early August.
On September 3, Høiby became forcing restraining order by the police until March 2025. So he is not allowed to contact his girlfriend, physically or digitally.
Friday 13 September came to Høiby arrest by the police at a cabin in Skikampen. The reason was that the police believed that he broke the restraining order by calling the woman from a hidden number. They claimed he was in danger of falling again.
Høiby was released the next day and pleaded not guilty. Police are now investigating a number of new breaches of the ban, which are said to have occurred recently.
When asked if Høiby violated the restraining order more than once, police lawyer and prosecutor Andreas Kruszweski responded as follows in an email:
– We continuously evaluate the various information we receive.
Defendant: It can contribute to a wrong result
The following from Høiby’s defender Øyvind Bratlien about the woman’s legal aid now confirms that the police are investigating new violations of the restraining order:
– The public prosecutors have taken a bigger and bigger role in criminal cases. Their role is mostly narrow and marginal. In general, I think it is sensible if the legal aid lawyers show strong restraint in dealing with the media, especially at an early stage. In the worst case, they contribute to large premature births and wrong results, says Bratlien to Aftenposten.
Responsible for multiple issues
Høiby has so far been accused of physical harm, damage and threats made in a telephone conversation after the incident at Frogner. he is admitted use of violence against his girlfriend and partner, under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
He is also accused of two counts of intimate relationship abuse against ex-girlfriends Nora Haukland and Juliane Snekkestad. They have been questioned several times.
He is also charged with threats directed at one other person. The report in this case is created by the police.
When the police arrested Høiby in September, relieve them for older mobile phones and computing equipment with access to cloud services. Among other things, they seized Høiby’s iPhone.
