The police again did not approve Omar Adam’s performances in Yarkon Park

First publication: The police again do not confirm the four performances of the singer Omer Adam in the Yarkon Park during April.

The document received by N12 this evening (Wednesday) states that “In accordance with previous correspondence, I informed you that the Israel Police refuses the existence of Omar Adam events, among other things, in view of the existence of a safety prevention to allow the holding of events containing an audience amount exceeding 3,000 people – unless A suitable alternative for mass transportation will be presented, and in addition, the issue of the emergency routes in the park will be settled.”

According to the police document, an alternative proposal for mass transportation was submitted by the production officials, but this was not approved “and it does nothing to negate the danger posed by the existence of the events in their current form.” According to the police, the proposed alternative does not address the existing safety gaps and cannot be implemented regarding all the possible scenarios in the shadow of the war and the security situation.

A few days before the first appearance on the next Monday, the police add that “even if another alternative is presented, given the short time frame available to us until the date of the events, it will be difficult for us to hold regular staff work that will allow for its examination and the holding of the event.” Apart from that, it was noted that so far an emergency road in the park and lighting have not been paved as a condition for obtaining a license approval. Following this, it was decided again not to approve Omar Adam’s performances, in which the singer is supposed to perform in front of a total of 120,000 in the audience.

Earlier this week, the police said that they have not yet approved the security plans for the concerts in question on April 15, April 16, April 21 and April 25. “The production is in front of us in coordination, but at the same time they have already sold tickets for the performances – even before they received permission to hold the events,” it was noted. “In the end, every event requires a police permit and as of now they do not meet the conditions.”

A response has not yet been given on behalf of Omar Adam
