If it’s supposed to be a discipline that only takes place a few times, it’s still okay, but it would be weird to keep doing it for a long time, said the winner of 57 qualifiers, German Sebastian Vettel.

This experiment is likely to be repeated twice more in the 2021 season. According to F1 sports director Ross Brawn, this could be a “busy weekend with three days of intense competition,” but Jean Fodt, president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), said “he will compete on Sunday.” The sprint will last 25 to 30 minutes, while driving for 100 km (17 laps).
