“Not even in my wildest dreams did I expect that we would end this filming of Polda in Barcelona. They scared me in the production saying that they have a little problem with the filming and that we will have to leave.” remembers the main character Barbora Bezáková as Tereza. “I said I would go for it, even though it was originally supposed to be filmed in Prague. I already had another job in the theater, so it was very difficult for me and David to combine everything and find a common date.” the actress describes the intricacies of filming abroad.
In the end, everything was successful and the serial number two flew away. “It was challenging in that we were often technically waiting for sunsets and sunrises. It’s really only a short period of time. We drove, filmed and saw all of Barcelona. We even tried to film the bar scene of Tereza and Michal, but people on the street were annoyed that we were filming there and making a bit of noise. At the time, we weren’t really doing anything, but people were shouting at us from the window,” remembers Barbora with a smile and chokes that there was definitely no party going on.
“They honor the siesta and didn’t want to listen during it – Action and Stop! So it was interesting,” laughs serial Tereza, who cannot complain about David Matásek. “David is great, collegial and I never felt uncomfortable on camera with him. When we shot some love and bed scenes, David was the ultimate professional. We laughed and I felt really good.’
