The Pokémon Company wants to know how many Kick-Ups footballers can do while opening Pokémon cards – EzAnime.net

Listen, we are well aware that big companies like to do weird promotional stunts to get attention, who could forget Jedward starring in Nintendo commercials? – but the latest campaign from the British division of The Pokémon Company really has us scratching our heads.

He has enlisted the help of the England football team to create the ‘Pokémon Trading Card Game Launch Challenge’, and the first player to participate is Manchester United star Jesse Lingard (currently on loan to West Ham United).

The challenge is simple; The player must keep the ball in the air for as long as possible while opening the Pokémon card packs and clearly showing them to the camera for identification. As you can see, Lingard does quite well and sets a score of 98 kick-ups with 12 cards drawn.

John Stones and Phil Foden from Manchester City are the other players involved, can they beat Lingard’s score? Bet you can’t wait to find out, can you?
