The Pokémon Company will start today and then make an announcement every day until February 27, aka Pokémon Day. According to the company’s Japanese twitter account, the announcements will cover Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon Cafe Mix, Pokémon Unite, P25 Music and Pokémon Go.
It is striking that Pokémon Legends: Arceus is not listed here, but that can easily be explained if The Pokémon Company decides to save the biggest news for last, and so on February 27 – pokémon day – tell more about it.
There is still no word on the next mainline Pokémon game: since Pokémon Sword and Shield, the developer has kept quiet about the future of the franchise, while the makers would normally have announced something about their next game long ago. Fans are therefore hoping for an announcement on the 27th.
On Pokémon Day, next Sunday, fans and creators will celebrate the Japanese anniversary of the Game Boy games Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.
