The Pokémon Company Continues with Record-Breaking Annual Sales on Consoles and Mobiles

The Pokémon Company continues with its annual sales records on consoles and mobiles, at the end of the fiscal year during the past 2022 it has seen an increase in profits and net profits compared to 2021.

There was a big spike from 2016 to 2017 thanks to Pokemon GO and The Pokemon Company posted a slight decline the following year, but it’s all been on the up ever since.

While operating profits are close to 67,000 million yen, with a year-on-year increase of 13%.

Proof of them are the 60 best-selling games on Nintendo Switch as of May 2023, with pokemon sword and shield in 25.82 million and/or Pokemon Scarlet and Purple at 22.10 million.

But we also see Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! at 15.07 million, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Glittering Pearl at 14.92 million, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus at 14.83 million.

Other less sold installments were New Pokémon Snap with 2.74 million and/or Pokémon Mysterious World: Rescue Team DX with 1.89 million copies sold in total.

The Pokémon Company continues with strong benefits thanks to Pokémon GO and the aforementioned Switch games, although its income also comes from other sources such as its card game.
