The Plouescat Health Center supports a regional project – Plouescat

The municipalities of Lanhouarneau, Plouescat, Plounévez-Lochrist and Tréflez are affected by the departure of doctors. Since 2017, the municipality of Plouescat has been reflecting on this problem and meetings have been regular with the ARS and the health professionals of the municipality.

A common project

They led to a project for a Multi-professional Health House, a name requiring a health project developed by professionals to support the construction of a building. During a meeting at the Plouescat Foundation in July 2020, followed by a press point (Telegram of August 9), the four municipalities mentioned above and the majority of their health professionals joined forces for a joint project.

On October 13, the association APS 29430 was created, headquartered in Plounévez, chaired by nurse Chrystelle Bihan-Jaffrès. The APS 29430 health project will allow a coordinated exercise to improve patient care. As for the elected representatives of the municipalities, they engage in real estate projects.

In Plouescat, the construction of the Maison de Santé, on the land opposite the Notre-Dame des Victoires school acquired by the municipality, will meet the needs established in consultation with health professionals interested in settling there: Dr. Véronique Pérès, already practicing in the municipality, Dr François-Marie Le Guen, medical intern who will move to Plouescat at the end of 2021 (in premises made available by the municipality pending the construction of the new building) and the nursing practice Quéméneur / Henry.

Contacts are recent with a psychomotor therapist, a speech therapist and a psychologist.
