Leonardo he moved to Milan, determined to obtain the patronage of Duke Regent, Ludovico Sforza. When reality proves less attractive than expected ea Leonardo is asked to devote himself to a great theatrical show instead of a painting, it will be a new meeting to help him free his imagination, allowing him to see an opportunity in the theatrical staging.
When Ludovico asks to Leonardo to create a sculpture in honor of his father (an equestrian statue), stimulates his ambition even more and the artist is committed to exceeding the expectations placed on him. While working on the work, she places her trust in a person that no one would place it in: Salaì, a resourceful young thief.
Recall that the series of Leonardo develops in four episodes, for a total of eight episodes, to tell the genius and the complex and enigmatic personality of the famous visionary artist who still remains a compelling secret today. The intent of the series is to unravel the mystery of one of the most fascinating characters in history. Each episode will highlight the relationship between life and work of art, intellectual training and human complexity of a great artist like Leonardo.
Directed by And Percival e Alexis Sweet, the series has an exceptional cast led by Aidan Turner in the role of Leonardo next to which they act Matilda De Angelis, Carlos Cuevas, Alessandro Sperduti, James D’Arcy, Robin Renucci, Flavio Parenti, Miriam Dalmazio, Antonio De Matteo, with Freddie Highmore and with the extraordinary participation of Giancarlo Giannini in the role of Andrea del Verrocchio. Produced on the Italian side by Lux Vide with Rai Fiction, the event series Leonardo will also be visible in 4k on the satellite channel Rai4K available at LCN number 210 of the tivùsat platform.
