The League come back this week … in trouble. Three players from Madrid First Division teams got together this Sunday to celebrate a barbecue in the pool of one of them. The three footballers who have skipped protocol, as shown in a video four sports, are Luka Jovic (Real Madrid), a repeat offender in order to skip confinement, Saponjic (Atlético) and Maksimovic (Getafe)The latter two continue to train with their teammates while the Real Madrid player recovers from a solo injury.
It was precisely Luka Jovic, the striker of Real Madrid, the first to raise controversy when sharing on social networks –In his official Instagram profile– a video last Sunday in which he was seen enjoying a barbecue surrounded by friends, without wearing a mask or respecting social distance.
In the aforementioned video posted by Jovic, neither Azulón Maksimovic nor Atletico Saponjic appeared. But four sports has had access to some images that prove that the three Serbian players Madrid teams were sharing barbecue during this past weekend in the capital of Spain.
Of the three players implicated in this violation of the protocol established by the League just in the week in which soccer will return, the only one who has a mitigating or almost alibi is the Madrid player Jovic, who is injured and will not return to work with his colleagues in the coming weeks. It is not the case of Maksimovic and Saponjic, who continue training with their colleagues from Getafe and Atlético from Madrid normally.
The barbecue of the scandal is the first controversy that has involved players from different teams during confinement. Weeks ago, a publication on social networks of a barbecue in which the Sevilla Ocampos players, Mute Vázquez, De Jong and Banega they skipped quarantine.
The situation ended with a public pardon from the Lopetegui team players and a tugging at the ears by the LFP and Sevilla. Now, different players are involved. With three days to go For the return of the competition we may attend the first sanction for not respecting the rules of confinement.
