Steven Gerrard’s Rangers can now bring Gary Cahill to Ibrox.
Well, if you want to join the Gers.
The former Chelsea central defender posted a series of tweets this afternoon saying he is leaving Crystal Palace.
Cahill was out of contract at the Palace at the end of June but, as The Sun reported last month, the Premier League club had offered him a new contract.

The British tabloid claimed that the Eagles’ offer was “less basic cash with extras for appearances.”
The same report indicated that Rangers manager Gerrard wants to sign Cahill for the Gers.
The Ibrox club could pay the 35-year-old central defender £ 35,000 a week as salary.
And now, Cahill has made the decision to leave Palace, as shown below.

It has been a privilege to play at Selhurst Park, especially that first season where I was able to experience the atmosphere that Eagles fans create on game day.

Cahill has not said where he will go next, and perhaps there is a chance he could join the Rangers.
The Rangers are strong on defense, but the defending Scottish Premiership champions could play in the Champions League this season.
Cahill won the Premier League twice, the Champions League once and the UEFA Europa League twice with Chelsea.
The veteran defender has a lot of experience, and that could be useful for Gers, especially in European football.
In other news, Rangers boss hopes to ‘pull a rabbit out of the hat’ for the Champions League clash.
