He showrunner Chris Van Dusen has confirmed that, if the series continues to be successful, there is the possibility of developing eight seasons, one for each of the brothers.

Eight are the books written by Julia Quinn on the secrets of the Bridgerton family. The fiction’s first season, which consists of eight episodes, focuses on one of the sisters, Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), and her love affair with Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page). “This first season was mainly about Daphne and Simon, but being this a family of eight children and having eight books, I would love to be able to tell the love stories of each of the Bridgerton brothers. A season for each character”, states Van Dusen. If this were done, a complete adaptation of Quinn’s literary saga would be made, which would allow us to know in depth the arc of each character.

If this plan is finally carried out to adapt the eight books to romantic period fiction, it is important to know which character each book focuses on to know what they would tell us in each season. These are the names of each of the books and who stars in them:

  • The duke and me: This is the first part of the saga of The Bridgertons which, as we know, focuses on introducing us to Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset. Both agree to pretend that they are engaged so that their families do not insist on marriage, but the friendship between them begins to turn into something more.
  • The viscount who loved me: This book focuses on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the Lord heir to the title, who is willing to find a wife and start a family. The search to stop being the golden bachelor marks the decisions of this character, who guides his full attention to Katrina, the only woman who has never noticed him, and who turns out to be the sister of his possible future wife, Edwina Sheffield .
  • I give you my heart: Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Beckett, the unrecognized daughter of the Earl of Penwood, star in this installment’s love story. Both characters coincide in a costume ball and notice each other, but when the party is over, Beckett must return to harsh reality with his stepmother and stepsisters. After a few years, she enters to serve the Bridgerton household, at which point the two will meet again.
  • Seducing Mr. Bridgerton: This fourth book in the saga, which focuses on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), shows a 28-year-old Penelope who has not yet had any formal marriage proposal, so she thinks she will stay. single for life. In all this time, her friendship with Colin has remained and perhaps it is the moment when both of them realize that they feel something more for each other.
  • A Sir Phillip, con amor: Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) stars in Quinn’s fifth book, in which she leaves London to meet Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton), with whom she has corresponded for a while but has never seen in person. When she sees him, she is very disappointed, since he does not look like the man she had imagined: he is rude, very serious and it seems that the marriage request was pure interest. For his part, Phillip, who was expecting a desperate spinster, is pleasantly surprised and, from that moment on, will show interest in getting to know Eloise for real.
  • The heart of a Bridgerton: This book focuses on Francesca Bridgerton (Ruby Stokes), the young woman who became widowed very soon after marrying John, Count Kilmartin. After his death, he seeks comfort and refuge in Michael Stirling, John’s cousin and one of his best friends, who, coincidentally, has been in love with Francesca since before John married her. The rapprochement between the two is very slow, since she mourns for four years, but once time has passed, everything indicates that something will emerge between them.
  • For a kiss: The seventh book of the romantic saga focuses on the youngest of the Bridgerton family girls, Hyacinth (Florence Hunt). Now a beautiful and intelligent young woman, she finds a way out of the boring society balls of London when she crosses paths with Gareth St. Clair, the seductive grandson of Lady Dunbury. St. Clair’s overwhelming personality will make Hyacinth unable to take her eyes off him.
  • Looking for a wife: The latest book focuses on the youngest of the family, Gregory (Will Tilston), whose story begins when all of his siblings have already married. Gregory, who seeks his great love incessantly, notices the beautiful Hermione Watson, but is greatly disappointed when her friend, Lucy Abernathy, tells him that Hermione is engaged to another man. In his attempt to ruin this engagement, Gregory has the help of Lucy, who little by little will gain a place in his heart. When Gregory realizes what he’s feeling, his friend has just been engaged to a marriage of convenience, so it won’t be easy for him.
