It was also known: MotoGP is not planning to race on the Hungaroring, which is known from Formula 1, but a new track is to be built. Now this route is slowly taking shape – at least on paper.
The Italian company Dromo Circuit Design was commissioned with the construction of the circuit and published a first video on their YouTube channel on Saturday, which shows the route layout and some information about the circuit.
Hungarian GP: 5 kilometers and 15 corners
The new racetrack goes by the name of Magyar Nemzetközi Motodrome and, once completed, should have a length of 5.050 kilometers. It also promises 15 curves and an average speed of 184 km / h with differences in altitude and excessive curves.
“The drivability was inspired by the best tracks in the world,” claim the track designers. Assen, Suzuka, Termas de Rio Hondo and Philip Island are named as sources of inspiration. In addition to the 5-kilometer GP route, there will also be two smaller variants with a length of 3.615 and 1.659 kilometers on the site.

Moto GP in Hungary: A Brief History
Overall, MotoGP has competed twice in Hungary so far. Namely 1990 and 1992. Both races were held on the Hungaroring near the Hungarian capital Budapest. In 2009 an attempt was made on the Balatonring to attract the motorcycle world championship to Hungary, but it failed.
