A flight between Paris and StSaint-Denis de La Réunion was canceled on July 14 after comments made by airport staff to a traveler tells Europe 1.
An agent at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport is said to have whispered in the ear of a little girl boarding the plane: “Be careful, there is a terrorist on the plane”.
The little girl informed the flight attendants of this confidence, which passed on to the captain.
Flight delay and cancellation
The checks led to excessive delays and therefore the cancellation of the flight.
The officer behind the remarks was arrested and taken into custody. He explained to the investigators that he wanted to make “a joke”.
Air France assessed the damage at 550,000 euros.
The suspect, a 46-year-old interim, unknown to the intelligence services, will be prosecuted for obstructing the movement of an aircraft and will be tried in February 2023.
