ROTE NDAO, KOMPAS.TV – There is a new island that reportedly emerged after a tropical cyclone body seroja hit the East Nusa Tenggara region.
The island appears in Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
The location of the island is more precisely in Sai Hamlet, Tolama Village, Loaholu District with an area of at least 152 feet.
Loaholu Sub-district Head, Jemi Oktovianus Adu, confirmed that there is a new island that emerged after the Seroja Tropical Cyclone storm in Loaholu District, Rote Ndao Regency.
“The island appeared on Sunday, April 5, 2021 to be precise. The island was formed from sand and rock mounds,” said Jemi when contacted. Kompas.com by telephone, Tuesday (13/4/2021).
The island is about 200 meters away from the beach and looks like a stone fence in the sea.
