The 57th version of the Pitalito National Crafts Fair concluded successfully, an event that took place from November 10 to 14 at the facilities of the Huila Chamber of Commerce, Pitalito Section.
This is how 160 exhibitors, from 15 departments of Colombia and 3 invited countries, through the 188 stands arranged for the craft exhibition, reported sales of more than 700 million pesos, exceeding the sales report for the year 2022.
“For us as organizers, these are highly satisfactory results if we take into account that it has not been an easy year for all economic sectors and that today more than ever, sectors as fragile as the artisanal sector required the unconditional support of all the institutions for the “good results were obtained,” said Clara Inés Triviño Medina, Director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Huila Pitalito Section and Regions.
It is noteworthy that this year the support of 6 public and private entities was obtained, which made it possible for a good number of the artisans present to be present, many of them new artisans, but also artisans who have been present at the fair for several years. , were sponsored by them.
