An investigation was launched by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the plane crash that occurred on 5 February at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, where 3 people died and 180 people were injured.
There was a new development within the scope of the investigation. Foreign co-pilot of the 2 pilots taken under treatment made a statement today in the hospital as a “suspect”.
EXPRESSION TAKEN BEFORE SURGERY
It was learned that the testimony of the co-pilot was taken in the hospital before the second surgery.
It was learned that the pilot, whose testimony was taken through the interpreter, asked questions such as how the accident happened, describing the incident, why he landed the plane on the runway, why he did not pass the runway.
THE EXPRESSION OF THE PASSENGERS IS NOT FINISHED YET
Within the scope of the investigation, statements of 165 people on the plane were taken. There were also 4 cabin attendants among those whose statements were taken.
After the cabin crew landed at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, they said that the plane was off the runway floor, but they did not complain.
On the other hand, while it was learned that 20 people on the plane were not complaining within the scope of the investigation, it was learned that a total of 13 passengers, 8 of whom were Turkish and 5 were of foreign nationality, would be taken.
