The TuligGarden Dunakanyar will open its doors from nine o’clock in the morning in Kos, next to Vác. Alexandra Komáromi, the owner of the garden, guided our staff around the area in the days before the opening.
Although the frosty weather of the past few days has also affected the tulips, and at the moment they are mainly in budding, Alexandra emphasized that the flowers will open beautifully in a vase as well. She also said that this year she and her husband expanded the size of the garden and the number of flower bulbs planted even further. From today over the next five weekends sixty thousand tulips will await the visitors. In addition, they prepare a number of programs for visitors.
Alexandra also drew attention to the fact that the garden is located outside and can be accessed by a dirt road. It is recommended to use flip-flops and dress in layers. Mainly because colder than average weather is expected this Easter. It will therefore be worthwhile to visit Kosdon during the long weekend for the Easter tulip harvest, because there are also pony carts, bunnies, small goats, lambs and a fair waiting for those interested. The garden is dog-friendly, so we don’t have to leave our four-legged friends at home.
