Despite the lack of goals, the friendly match between Portugal and Spain (0-0) on Wednesday resulted in a small event. He brought together three former Real Madrid teammates: Sergio Ramos, who still plays there, but also Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe.
At the end of the meeting, Ramos, captain of Real, posted a photo alongside his former Portuguese partners. The Madrid press was quick to note that the defender and the five-time Golden Ball had not seen or spoken since the departure of “CR7” from Juventus in 2018. Marca even called it a “photo” of peace”.
So they broke the ice and posted big smiles for a photo around a jersey of number 7 of the Seleçcao. “For my friend Sergio, all my affection,” read the dedication Ronaldo wrote to Ramos on the shirt. Ramos shared the moment on social media. “And we’re still here … and what’s left. Nice to see you, my friends.”
Together, the two players have helped to write a great page in recent Real history. They have thus won four Champions Leagues, two Ligas, four Club World Cups and two Spanish Cups among others, during the nine years (2009-2018) of their common adventure.
