Former player Ronaldo, Cruzeiro’s majority partner, reacted to the celestial rout right after the 3-0 victory over Bahia, on Wednesday night (25). The game at Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte, was valid for the 29th round of the Brazilian Championship and left the Phenomenon euphoric.
Despite celebrating the result, Ronaldo sent a message to the Cruzeiro fans, congratulated them and kept his feet on the ground. The Phenomenon stated that there are still nine “finals” left until the end of the Brasileirão.
“Victory of OUR CRUISE! We won another final, 9 to go! We are one on and off the field. Congratulations on the beautiful party, Nation! SO FIGHTED, NEVER WON! #FechadoComOCruzeiro”, wrote Ronaldo on Twitter.
Cruzeiro scored with goals from defender Kanu (own goal), left-back Marlon and striker Bruno Rodrigues. The celestial team rose from 14th to 12th place, with 37 points, while Bahia fell from 13th to 14th, with 34.
Coach Zé Ricardo’s men will return to the field on November 2nd (Thursday), at 8pm. The opponent will be São Paulo, in the 30th round, at Morumbi, in the capital of São Paulo.
